Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta’s Old World charm and breathtaking natural beauty will
strike you upon arrival. From every location you see the lush green
mountains jutting to the sky from the ocean and towering over the city.
Vallarta has maintained its unique Old Mexico charm true to the sense of
how Mexico used to be, but boasts a modern infrastructure and
conveniences for its residents & visitors. The heart of Vallarta is a
quaint colonial city with interesting architecture, cobblestone streets
and white-washed buildings. The city is known for its traditional market
stalls, boutiques, art galleries and handicrafts.

With over 100 miles of coast line, it is a haven for all types of beach
& ocean activities. Vallarta enjoys over 300 sunny days each year and
the average temperature is approximately 83 degrees F (28*C). As it is situated
on the same latitude as Hawaii, it has a similar sunny and tropical
climate

Getting to Puerto Vallarta
AirportPuerto Vallarta International airport is located just north of
downtown Vallarta. The airport is served by 12 major airlines and is
well connected to North America’s major airports. With numerous daily
flights, getting to Vallarta from anywhere in the world is easy.

Getting to the School
Cab
The airport is a short 10 minute cab ride from the school.
Transportation to and from the airport is done mostly by taxi. During
the day, you may prepay your trip into Vallarta at a small kiosk
located just inside the terminal building exit. Once you have
obtained your ticket, the driver will escort you to your vehicle and
you are on your way. You should expect to pay 18 USD (the fare is based on the number
of zones your travel). Charges for transportation leaving the airport
(which is Federal property) are more expensive than regular taxi service
to the airport. If you are looking for a cheaper fare, an experienced
traveler may consider walking a few meters to the main highway and
flagging down a city taxi or bus.
Driver
If you would prefer a scheduled driver, the school can organize
your pick-up. We require a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to arrival for
this service. The cost for this service is 28 USD.
